Celebrating 35 Years

The 35 years have seen us grow from a housing build nonprofit to even more, including our presence in Home Repairs, Veteran Home Repairs, Rock the Block Community Repair Program and our ReStore Resale Retail. In this time the impact on our community, with these programs, has been instrumental in advocating for change and progression. We have with our donors and volunteers navigated many challenges, throughout St. Clair and Sanilac Counites as well as the state of Michigan.
We are very proud of the work, the relationships and partnerships that have been fostered over the past 35 years and are humbled to have served so many families and residents in the Blue Water Area. Tonight is a celebration of all we have accomplished together, but we never lose sight that there is truly so much more that we have to do. We remain steadfast and dedicated to our mission, knowing that without our volunteers and donors our past successes could not have been accomplished, and our future achievements can only happen by continuing to grow, educate and inspire.
Thank you to so many who have blessed the families of our community and me personally with their dedication. You have inspired me and so many others to seek change and build better lives for our brothers, sisters and neighbors. I am blessed to be a part of something so much bigger than myself and cherish the memories of so many Habitat families, volunteers,
donors and community partners.
In my heart it will always remain an honor,
Blessings and gratitude,
Ernest
