Ways To Volunteer
Blue Water Habitat’s mission is to put God’s love into action by bringing people together to build sustainable homes, community, and hope. Without the willing hearts and hands of our many volunteers, we could not even come close to fulfilling this mission. Each year, volunteers log thousands of hours working on our build sites and in the Habitat ReStore.

All adult volunteers are required to complete the Release & Waiver of Liability. Volunteers 16 and 17 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who must complete the Minor Volunteer Release and Waiver of Liability.
You must be at least 16 years old to volunteer with our organization. 16 and 17 years olds must be supervised by their parent/guardian.
ReStore
Our ReStore relies on volunteers. Volunteer tasks range from accepting and testing donations, helping stock shelves, to greeting, assisting, and checking out customers. To volunteer please reach out to the ReStore directly at (810) 364-6919!
Construction
Join the weekly crew of volunteers building homes—no construction experience or knowledge necessary! Our on-site supervisors will guide you along the way. Typical shifts are 9am-2pm Mondays and Thursdays. We welcome individuals and groups of volunteers. Other Ways To Serve
Office Volunteer Volunteer needs in the office include filing, preparing mailings, and other administrative tasks.
Event Volunteer Special events such as fundraisers and volunteer appreciation events take a lot of work. Volunteers are an asset in helping plan, set up, and staff events.
Committee Member Several committees work with our staff to support our mission, including Fund Development, Construction, Program Services, and Volunteer.
